The Academy of Film Writing is a school founded by award winning screenwriter and author Max Adams to perpetuate excellence in film writing.
AFW began with six of Max’s master screenwriting classes: Visual Writing; Character Writing; Structural Writing; Non-Static Writing; High Concept Writing; and The Art of the Pitch.
These are screenwriting classes created by Max when she figured out no one was telling her workshoppers and students specific things they really needed to know — and built classes around the subjects more traditional screenwriting programs were missing.
Foolishly, Max then mentioned this endeavor to her genius friend Jennifer Perry, who immediately began beating Max with a stick demanding Max make the classes a little more public. So. Here they are. Max’s master classes — a little more public.
